Catherine Johnson, author and screenwriter visits GCA

Year 9 were treated to a visit from celebrated author Catherine Johnson. Catherine’s award winning novel ‘Sawbones’ about graverobbing and anatomical and surgical pioneers in the Enlightenment era is now on the KS3 curriculum and going down a storm with Year 9.
 
A local to the borough, Catherine spoke about her heritage, her school experience, career in the media and what is means to be a writer. It was fascinating, moving and inspiring in equal measure!
