Tallow Chandlers' bursaries
Thanks to the generosity of the Tallow Chandlers' Company, a City of London livery company, we are able to offer bursaries to the top performing students in STEM subjects.
The Tallow Chandlers are helping us promote and develop the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in the school. As well as providing invaluable mentoring sessions and funding for university visits, the Company has set up the STEM bursary scheme which is of enormous benefit to our students - and a great incentive for students going into Year 12 each year.
Bursaries worth £500 are given to the students who, at the end of Year 12, display the best combination of application and effort in STEM subjects, have made excellent progress and have the potential to achieve the best grade in their teaching group at the end of the course. Provided the bursary winners take a STEM subject at university, they receive a further bursary worth £1000 during their first year.
