On November 8, Ms Stevenson and I took a sizeable group of Y7s - 10s to the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster to take part in the launch for Debate Mate.

We watched a 'show debate' on the motion: 'This house believes rap should be taught over Shakespeare in schools'. This elicited lots of lively discussion as you can imagine. Nicol Figueroa Ospina was voted the best 'floor question' from the audience winning herself a free tasty Nandos!

After the event, we did a bit of rainy sight-seeing over Westminster bridge and down South Bank, stopping for lunch in the South Bank skate park.

The students all conducted themselves brilliantly and had a really enjoyable day!
