This lunchtime we kicked off Refugee Week with our sponsored cycle.
Despite a few mechanical issues, the students took on the challenge with gusto. They cycled as far and as fast as they could for one minute, and we recorded their distances on the flipchart. The students were inspired by the challenge of adding to our existing total towards the distance from Syria to the Turkish border.
Special mention to Armir (10CV) who took on the vital role of bike mechanic.
A MASSIVE thank you to Ms Bouchereau and the PE department for loaning the static bikes, and a big thank you to all the staff who came along to cheer the students on.
Tomorrow lunchtime we go again, this time with a sponsored skip on the jumbo skipping rope.
