1st May 2023Our VEX VRC Ubiquitous Gearers ended their world championship run ranked 34th in the world! 20,000 teams from around the world competed this year and 811 got to World Championship Finals in Dallas. Gearers were the second highest ranked team from the United Kingdom and the highest ranking team from a state school!
Vincent, Darius, Lekai and Emmanuel worked for nearly a year developing, testing and building an outstanding robot, learning real engineering skills, completely computer modelling the robot and fabricating custom parts.
The level this year at tournaments has bee incredibly high, in an already very competitive and demanding competition season. This was their first year competing in the high school event category. Congratulations all!
