Three Robotics Teams Battle for UK Championship and Secure Spot at VEX Robotics World Finals in Dallas!

3rd Mar 2025

A note forom Mr Williams:

It was an amazing event with tough competition from teams across the country. The competition was divided into two divisions: Years 10–11 and Years 12–13. Additionally, awards were given for Best Design, Teamwork, Innovation, Robot Skills, Coding, and the Judges' Award.

All our teams fought bravely and should be proud of their efforts. Well done to everyone who competed and represented the Academy (names below).

I am pleased to announce that Team 10478S (Gearers) won the Think Award, which recognizes the best-coded robot for its consistency in autonomous performance. This means they have won a place at the world championships in May.

This is an incredible achievement, especially considering the strong competition in this category.

A special thanks to Ms. McDonald, Dr. Hassan, Mr. Corrigan, and Mr. Hilmi for their support throughout the event.

We still await the results from the VEX IQ event that is happening now led by Dr Hassan!
