Great to see our students showing such initiative and independence!

Emmanuel enthusiastically took part in Debate Mate last year, going from strength to strength in his debating style and attending regular competitions with his team mates. At the Debate Mate Cup, he was made aware of a fantastic scheme called Envision UCL.

Envision UCL is a programme of free in-person events exclusively for students of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage in Year 10, who are interested in learning more about university.

Emmanuel was handed a flyer informing him of this opportunity, he then independently went on to apply for the scheme himself and attend all events on his own, including some to top universities. He has shown true dedication, tenacity and initiative and we should be very proud of him!
