Year 7s' history trip to Bruce Castle was a great success. They had a special workshop on local history and then spent some time looking at the museum exhibits. They particularly enjoyed the Windrush exhibition which included the opportunity to dress up in clothes from the 1940s donated by Windrush migrants in the area.

Ernest says: “It was interesting to look at pictures from the past and to see how places such as Wood Green and Tottenham have evolved until today.”

Margot says: “I enjoyed looking at different maps to see how the local area has changed over time and trying on the 1940s clothes.”

Lincoln says: “It is a special place to learn about the history of Bruce Castle – I learnt that it was called Lordship House before.”
