Back to newsEven more robotics success!
31st Jan 2022On Saturday, January 29, our teams competed at Queen Elizabeth Boys School in Barnet. It was a hard fought competition for GCA Gearers as they had an unfinished robot, so had to frantically assemble it during the practice rounds. They started badly but during the day's matches slowly worked their way up the field to finish the qualification matches in 12th place.
Team Miaow, despite this being their very first competition with their very first robot, worked hard to learn and drive their robot. With mentoring from Loqmane and Saeed, they were placed 4th for nearly the whole day which was a real achievement.
Both teams fought hard through the finals with Miaow being knocked out in the quarter finals. The more experienced Gearers fought onto the finals and, after an exciting final match, won the tournament.
