On Saturday December 11th, three of our VEX IQ teams competed at Simon Langton Grammar School in Canterbury - including two of our new Year 7 teams, (we have about 9 building and programming). We did very well and two of our teams won trophies. They had impressed the judges with their engineering skills, ability to program and explain their robot designs.

Laura 8LC and Alannah 7KT (standing in for Noah Guiness) and Jessica 8LC won the Design Award

Laura has worked extremely hard and competed well throughout the competitions so far and this award was well deserved.

Nicholson 7KT and Lucas 7EO in their first competition with their newly rebuilt robot won the Judges' Award

Olivia, Emmelyn and Alannah, all in 7KT, fought hard all day and came in 4^th overall, which, in only their third ever competition, is an achievement.

All our teams are now rebuilding, testing and refining their robots for the new year as we head towards National Finals. They have big shoes to fill as our upper school robotics teams have won all but one of the competitions they have competed at this year!
