6th May 2019Well done to our sailors who finished 28th out of 115 yachts in the Royal Ocean Racing Club race from Southampton to Le Havre, one of the Fastnet qualifying races.
They came 6th in their class and were amazingly brave, especially in the 5-hour slog upwind from midnight to 5am on Sunday morning. They all acquitted themselves exceptionally well. It was very cold and very rough with waves 4m high, and strong winds which caused boats to stall and broach which leads to them going flat on their sides.
